“…the end of law is not to abolish or restrain, but to preserve and enlarge freedom: for in all the states of created beings capable of laws, where there is no law, there is no freedom: for liberty is, to be free from restraint and violence from others; which cannot be, where there is no law,”
— John Locke
When Susan was young, she watched her father struggle to navigate the legal system because he was unable to afford expensive legal help while at the same time, he was earning too much to qualify for legal aid. This inspired her to become a lawyer—one who strives to provide her clients with quality legal services at reasonable rates. Graduating from UCLA with her Bachelor’s degree in 1984, she went on to receive her JD from Loyola Law School in 1990 and to pass the California State Bar the same year. In 1993, she began her own firm to cultivate personal relationships with her clients and to meet their individual needs. For her Estate Planning clients, Susan provides comprehensive analysis of their needs, values and goals for optimal strategic planning and beneficiary protection based on each client’s particular financial and family situations. For her Litigation clients, Susan strives to put them in the best position possible in order to reach a resolution that is best for her clients, whether that is through mediation, settlement or trial.
